howdy folks. this is just an update on stuff. my last entry spoke of my quitting smoking at some time in the future. that time came december 16th at 5pm. its not been as hard as i had anticipated, but ive definately had my moments. especially in the first 24-48 hours. im not using any meds, or nicotine patches. just bull-headedness.
im having a breast reduction in the very near future and i have to be nicotine free for one month before theyll do it. i even have perscriptions for 2 nicotine urine tests. one at 2 wks clean and another at 1 month nicotine free. can you believe that? i remember when patients could smoke in their hospital rooms.
Christmas this year was so nice and relaxing. me, and aaron and anne joined the ferg's at their home for Christmas eve. chicken and noodles and sweets and goodies. of course, joshua was the star. he can read the gift tags now so everyone has a pile of gifts in front of them at all times. all he wants to do is deliver the gifts to everyone and open his. by the end of the evening he was "sugaring" out, bigtime. he'd eat a cookie, or some other sweet sugary treat, and his eyes would glaze over and he'd begin to nod..........as his head would drop, he'd perk back up and nibble a few more bites and then nod again. i know we shouldve stopped him but it was sooooo very cute to watch.
aaron is doing well. he was written up in the kokomo tribune as a salvation army bell ringer who traded his bell in for a guitar. they came and took pictures, recorded his guitar playing and did an interview. pretty cool. anne is coming along well in her pregnancy. the pukies are few and far between, but they still come once in a while. she definately has that 'glow' people talk about. im hoping for a little girl. i need someone to play dress up with. (or on) rusty wont let me put ruffles and lace on joshua. he says they dont go well with joshua's karate gee. go figure.
suzi is still suzi. the organizer and "git er done" gal. i often think she's spreading herself too thin, but shes young and can handle much more than i. rusty has applied for a job as electrician at getrag, or whatever the new chrysler plant is thats going up on highway 31 near tipton. if he gets the position he'll be in training for 6 months in germany. 3 wks there and 1 wk home, and so on for the entire 6 months. they are excited and kinda planning around this possible happening. so, good luck and God's blessings on this tidbit of info.
gonna go for now and probably talk to you all again after the first of 2008. plans are to stay home on new years eve and try to stay awake till the ball drops. if not...................oh well. happy new year to all of you and be extra careful if you venture out on the roads with all the 'crazies'.
2008.............gonna be great!!!
